The City of Oakley invites the community to celebrate Oakley’s 20th year of cityhood as they are hosting a special gala event.
Tickets are $25 and includes light hors d’oeuvres, dessert and champagne toast and music featuring the 925 Band . Guests must be 21 and over. Cocktail attire suggested.
The event is being held from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Oakley Recreation Center located at 1250 O’Hara Ave

Exactly, do not get involved in your community. You probably wouldn’t know anyone anyways. You need to be careful in situations like this. I can just see it happening, you go to something like this involving community pride and next thing you know you’re involved in helping others or making the community better. It’d be best if you just stayed put in front of your TV that evening.
