Election Update #3: Contra Costa Election Results for City Council, School Districts, Special Districts

by ECT

On November 13, Contra Costa County issued its latest semi-official release of election results which include Measure X, Mayor Races, City Council, School Districts and special districts.

In Antioch, it appears Tamisha Walker will win the Antioch City Council District 1 race as she increased her lead over Joy Motts. Walker now holds a 194 vote lead. Motts has already issued a congratulations note to Walker.

The Antioch City Clerk and City Treasurer races remain close.  Ellie Householder remains ahead of Arne Simonsen for the City Clerk position by just 34 votes. In the City Treasurer race, Jim Davis maintains a lead over Lauren Posada by 52 votes.

No changes in Brentwood as Joel Bryant is set to take over the Mayors seat that has been held by Bob Taylor for four terms. Jovita Mendoza (District 1) and Susannah Meyer (District 3) are headed to victory in their respective races.

In Oakley, residents apparently were not happy with the direction and will have three brand new councilmembers in Aaron Meadows, Anissa Williams and George Fuller.

In Pittsburg, Juan Antonio Baneles and Jelani Killings cruised to victory in their bid for re-election.

Per the county, they estimate 10,000 ballots are still to be processed which included 5,000 vote by mail and polls, 2,500 provisional, and 2,500 conditional voter registration.

Note: This is not the full results, but rather a highlighted list of local races applicable to East Contra Costa County. Full Results, click here.

Well… Lamar Thorpe, Tamisha Walker, and Ellie Householder all hate the police. Can’t wait for the homeless to take over the city of Antioch. Fantastic!

VP Nov 14, 2020 - 7:09 pm

Drug addicts are well on their way to a complete takeover judging from Buchanan/Gentrytown bike trail and other similar areas. The filth and trash are a disgusting health hazard and no one does anything about it. Good luck getting these types into a hotel. Found another vet in a safer area where people don’t get shot in the parking lot next door as well. I have no clue what to expect now. You can’t shop out here because they are all pyscho.

PLG Nov 14, 2020 - 1:38 pm

Hopefully Thorpe, Tamisha, Householder, and Shagoofball go out on violent 911 calls so they can de-escalate with their half-ass explanations of “systemic racism”. They want Antioch to turn into a slum where everyone is equal! Equally poor is fine by them. Let’s give all the homeless our newly built homes yay! Lamar Thorpe is super qualified with his advanced degrees in Women’s Studies. What a disgrace to our beautiful city of Antioch.

Mystery Lady Gwen Nov 15, 2020 - 9:04 pm

“Women’s Studies?” Now, there’s a laugh for you! Almost as bad as “Ethnic Studies” which a bit lower than a BA in Basket Weaving which actually produces something tangible.

Tamisha will probably matches and a gas-soaked rag with her to mollify the problem

Monty Nov 16, 2020 - 1:13 am

I hope someone videotapes Lamar and “Tamisha” go to break up a domestic fight as they get between the two combatants. Should be great to watch. Hahahahahahaha!

CJH Nov 14, 2020 - 9:54 pm

Keep counting! While I am not a fan of Motts, she’s far better than THE FIREBUG! She will never live down that name! I will wear my firefighters hat to the City Council meetings just to remind her! What a POS!

No "Tamisha" fan! Nov 17, 2020 - 12:50 pm

I don’t want felons representing me and this Tamisha creature is nowhere near it.
