East Contra Costa Fire Hosts Volunteer Firefighter Recognition Ceremony

This Saturday please join the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District  at 10am at the Knightsen Park next to the Knightsen School 1923 Delta Road to honor the volunteer firefighters who served our communities over the years.
The ceremony will last about an hour and will include speeches, antique fire engines and dedication of the Knightsen Firefighter memorial.
This is intended to be a reunion opportunity for all past volunteer/POC firefighters from Bethel Island, Brentwood, Byron/Discovery Bay, Eastern, East Diablo and Oakley/Knightsen Fire Districts.

ECT……Thanks for putting this back up. These men and women need recognition and closure to a rough time during the transition. Thanks to Chief Helmick too, even though he started his career as a volunteer. This shows the value to the community these people have been and continue to be.

Wouldn’t it be great for the BNSF Railroad to have a train slow between 10&11 with their horns blaring. With a Thank You Salute!
