Want to work on Vasco put in dividers

My thoughts exactly Simon

You and I and everyone else around here (except the bureaucrats) understand how deadly this road is, basically from south of Balfour all the way to Livermore. They need to put up some K-rails. Last weeks fatal was ANOTHER fine example….

I saw an old picture of 17 with cars on it from back in the 50’s before it had a barrier up- pretty scary. We (out here) get to risk it every day on Vasco like it was “the good ‘ol days” on 17. Shame, really…

I drove the old highway 17 without barriers. It was deadly as people veered into oncoming traffic. The same goes for Vasco. The problem is that Vasco was built to county standards not state ones. There is not enough room for K rail without making the county road substandard . The county tried to give the road to the state but they said not until it was upgraded to state specs. Thus we have this dangerous road, increased gas taxes on top of taxes, and a county that does nothing more than the minimum. Alameda county is the same with regards to Vasco. We need a state representative to make the two counties do something. It will only get worse as development continues to get approved at each end of Vasco. Our state reps need to get off Trump and get on doing something for us to save lives.
