This is so sad 🙁 Three lives lost and three families ruined. These two young people are gone and will never experience life the way they were intended to and the young driver, he will have to live the rest of his life with that knowledge, a good portion of it behind bars. Such a waste. RIP to the two who were taken from their families. And to the family of the driver, I’m sorry for your “loss” as well. Prayers to all. Oh, and before anyone makes the expected comment of “why were two teenagers walking at almost midnight?” Or “why was a teenager driving at almost midnight?” Let’s not forget, one of the pedestrians was an adult and the minor being in their company made it legal. As was the driver. As unfortunate as the whole nightmare is, the only illegal part was the driver drinking underage and then making the assheaded choice to get behind the wheel. (I may be wrong here, and if I am, my apologies ahead of time….however, I’m sure my point was still made.)

One of the pedestrians was a teenager. Being 18 (eighTEEN) is just that. The driver was also a teenager being 18. That area is a dark and lonely road and one walks against traffic where you can see a car coming at you and have a chance to spring out of the way. Either way, this was tragic. Never walk in the dark unless you have reflective clothes … or, better yet, don’t walk in the dark at all. Also, do not drink alcohol if you’re underage. Who gave him the booze?

It sounds like a true tragedy all around. The pedestrians were killed and the driver likely permanently ruined his life. It serves him right but is tragic nonetheless
