Brentwood to Host Community Meeting on Future of Deer Ridge Golf Course

by ECT

The City of Brentwood posted to social media that they will be hosting a community meeting on Monday on the future of the former Deer Ridge Golf Course Property.

The meeting is being held on January 13 at 6:30 pm at the Brentwood Senior Center (193 Griffith Lane) with pizza and refreshments being served.

The city says the privately owned Deer Ridge Golf Course (SunCoast Properties) is now closed and will not reopen and the city will be providing information about the city’s role in guiding the future of the property. They are seeking input and ideas from the community on potential options to reuse the former golf course.

According to the city, this meeting is intended as an opportunity to hear from the community. While the property is privately owned, Brentwood can have some influence regarding the disposition of the property. City staff want to be educated by the community discussion to help guide our future actions- if any.

I wish the city would look into buying it and operating it.
