Antioch Police SWAT Call Nets 2 Arrests, Firearms Recovered and Stolen Vehicle

On Tuesday, the Antioch Police Department served a search warrant with its SWAT team to a home on Deerspring Way in the City of Antioch.

According to preliminary information, the search warrant was served at approximately 6:00 am where at least two people were arrested, several firearms were recovered, a stolen vehicle was recovered and additional items were pulled from the home.

No other information as made available on scene. Antioch Police were expected to release more information later Tuesday.

Update

On 10/12/21 at approximately 6:00 am, the APD SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the 5100 block of Deerspring Wy. The search warrant executed was in relation to suspected illegal firearms at the home.

  • Ray Gilbert – 23 year old male – Arrested
  • Maurice Griffin – 22 year old male – Arrested

Investigators located an illegally possessed handgun, handgun magazines and a rifle drum style magazine. Ray Gilbert and Maurice Griffin were the suspects of this investigation and were both contacted at the home. Both males were arrested for various firearms possession charges and were transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

The APD needs to secure as many military-type vehicles as it is offered for free. This is for the protection of our police officers. Those vehicles also scare the shit out of criminals or would be criminals.
