On Wednesday at 9:30 pm, the Antioch Police Department received a 9-1-1 call regarding an in-progress home invasion robbery that was occurring at an occupied residence in the 2000 block of Goldpine Wy.

It was reported that (3) subjects armed with guns had forced their way into the victim’s home and demanded their property. The suspects had fled just prior to Antioch Police Officers arriving on scene but a description of their vehicle was broadcast to neighboring agencies.

Brentwood Police located the vehicle and attempted to stop a vehicle matching the one involved in this crime and it fled from their Officers at a high rate of speed. After a lengthy pursuit the vehicle was disabled, and it drove off of the roadway on Bixler Rd just south of Marsh Creek Rd.

According to Sergeant Matthew Harger, three occupants inside the car were immediately arrested without incident while a fourth occupant fled on foot into a nearby field.

An extensive search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Brentwood PD, Contra Costa Sheriff’s Department, and the Oakley PD. The outstanding suspect was eventually located a short distance away and arrested without incident.

The subject was attempting to hitch-hike near the Old River Bridge in the Town of Discovery Bay when Brentwood Police officers took him into custody at gunpoint.

Harger said two handguns and a rifle were recovered at the scene along with all of the victim’s property that had just been stolen.

The four suspects were arrested for numerous felonies to include robbery, burglary, kidnapping, possession of illegal firearms, evading the police, and possession of stolen property.

The three adults were booked into the Martinez Detention Facility and the minor was booked into Juvenile Hall. This preliminary information is made available by the Field Services Division.

Arrested include:

  • Keith Slaughter, 18-year-old
  • Brian Williams, 18-year-old
  • Qwest Hewitt, 19-year-old
  • Male Juvenile, 16-year-old

    • It might be a nice neighborhood for Antioch, but there is nothing upscale in Antioch. Throw the book at these young punks.

    • I drive through these “upscale” neighborhoods and I see Section 8 people milling around. Look like something “Straight From Compton.”

      • I live around the corner from this…It is always a house being broken in..This happens at least twice a week….And it does matter if it is a Section 8 people over there….. Some Section 8 People do work and take care of your house…No body has the right to go into nobody house without permission ..I am glad that they got Caught At least they are going to pay for there crime..

      • @elizabeth…gee when I drive around I see the 85 % s(welfare spends that amount on the dominant culture) and it looks like the trailer parks in the Appalachia’s. Those “misguided youts” everywhere…and all are sisters and brothers…even the momma is also your sister

  1. Antioch is like a cancer that just keeps spreading!! Make tat an STD!!
    Shit hole!!

  2. Anyone who home invades is scum of the earth and should be dealt with accordingly.

What’s happening to any respect for anything ?

Hopefully the courts will sentence to the maximum!

  3. They will all get probation, there brains aren’t fully development yet there’s no way we can send them to prison! (Is what a defense attorney will say) …. when will we finally get tired of getting victimized by the same people over and over and continue to make excuses as to why they act like animals

    • The name of the scumbag 16 year old should have been made public. This idiotic law to keep minor criminals’ names confidential, has got to stop!

      • You protect minors they all deserve a chance an too learn someone out there loves them stop doing wrong an try something right don’t you ever ever put a minor or child in threat of danger people like you are criminals themselves

  4. Any neighborhood in Antioch, even if it’s supposedly one of the “good” ones, has issues. You need monitored security, cameras, an effective Neighborhood Watch, and reinforced doors. A good doorbell cam is just a start. It’s the depressing reality.

  5. If four punks forced their way into our house, there would be four dead bodies lying on the floor in the marble-floored entryway awaiting the arrival of the police and the coroner. My wife would get the bucket and mop!

  6. Was it necessary to add “marbled floor”?As if anyone cares. lol Just makes you look iike a pompous brag. Much like your “I’d shoot them all dead in one shot with my eyes shut and hands behind my back blah blah blah” comment did. Again, no one cares.

    • Who’s braggin’? It’s very easy to wipe up the blood off a marbled floor after it has been sealed properly. Other materials can be too porous!

    • Is there a law against being “pompous?” I don’t think so! If you have it, flaunt it! No big deal! And YOU obviously cared and I care as well. By the way, ALL my bathrooms have gorgeous Italian marble floors and shower walls!

  7. Personally I think your all idiots if you want to solve this problem let’s start at the top of our political cabinets and work down from there starting with pay cuts and let’s get some money back into our communitys like a center that is open everyday for young adults to go to. Oh wait your all to scared to go out in public because there may be an active shooter well maybe then some of those political pay cuts can help fund the mental health system that has failed miserably because of lames like all of you. Look at the reason why we have these problems and think real hard what problems we face now and in the future are gov’t created. Duh

  8. Antioch is not even close to the Antioch
I know and love .. I moved out of there years ago at just the right time ..yes they have beautiful homes and the delta
But it’s not worth your life … hey city of Antioch either do something about your city and sec 8 issue or all the good tax paying people are going to leave your city
And you city officials that dont do [email protected]#t
Will all be jobless and have to actually work … this includes the apd…

  9. I wonder if the occupants knew the intruders or vice versa. Interesting to learn the whole story. Random intrusion is very very rare.

  10. If said ghetto sewer rats can get through my thick, reinforced front or back door or my thick plexiglass windows, then there will be a big surprise waiting for them. Today, one has to always be prepared for these types of encounters.
