On Thursday at 4:32 pm, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a hill on fire on Via Dora Drive off Deerfield Drive in the City of Antioch
Firefighters were able to make quick knockdown on the fire and limit the spread of the fire to just around 1-acre. Firefighters cleared the scene after an 1-hr and 40-minutes.
The fire is currently under investigation

I see a lot of dry vegetation around the city in residential areas. Most of it is not on private property. I saw a lot on Garrow right under the power towers. Some of it is pretty tall. That needs to be removed quickly. Who is responsible for such areas? They are abutting to private property.
