84-Year-Old Missing Antioch Man Located in Los Angeles

The Antioch Police Department announced Monday at approximately 3:00 pm, 84-year-old Ramon Fernandez was located by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police said it is unknown how Fernandez got to Los Angeles and he was alone when he was contacted. He is safe and in good health. The Los Angeles County Adult Protective Services will assist in reuniting  Fernandez with his family.

Fernandez went missing Friday morning.

The Antioch Police Department confirmed Saturday that as of 4:30 pm they are still looking for a man who went missing Friday in the City of Antioch

Along with the police department, the Contra Costa County Search and Rescue team has been mobilized and has been assisting in the search.

According to police, they are asking the community to be on the lookout for Mr. Ramon Fernandez, an 84-year-old Latino male, 5’4″ tall 158 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He has dementia and has been missing from the 1200-block of ‘A’ Street since 7:30 am.

He was wearing a plaid long-sleeve shirt, blue tee-shirt, and blue jeans (see photo). Mr. Fernandez only speaks Spanish and usually uses a wheelchair, so it’s possible he did not get too far. APD officers are actively searching for him now.
