Zipton-Vanderwarf Earn Wild West Bass Trail Win Out of Big Break Marina

On Saturday, the Wild West Bass Trail Tournament brought 140 boats to Big Break Marina in Oakley where teams battled for the Delta title. The total payout for the event was $46,000.

Overall, the team of J Zipton and C. Vanderwarf took top prize with a total weight of 33.88 pounds and scored a payout of $7,000.  They also took home contingency prize money that brought their total payout to $9,150—including Big Fish at 11.15 pounds.

A close second was the team of K. Dekleva and Z. Azevedo who caught 32.44 pounds with a total payout of $4,500. Third place was 31.60 pounds by the team of D. Jones and D. Mcka. That netted them a $3,000 payout

Fourth place was R. Dobyns and P. Strader with 27.47 pounds which was good for a $3,500 payday which included contingency money. In fifth place was B. Jourdrey and R. Cantos with 27.33 pounds which resulted in $2,000, plus another $700 in contingency money.

June 9-11: Pro/AM Tournament
The Wild West Bass  Trail will return to Big Break Marina on June 9-11 for their Pro/Am Tournament for those wanting to participate, the balance entry deadline is May 31, with a final entry date of June 5.
