At 1:29 pm, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle accident where a car ran into a pole on W. 18th Street in Antioch. A female victim sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. No word on the extent of injuries, however, a medical condition of the woman within the vehicle appears to have caused the accident according to an official on scene.

Crews were on scene for 31-minutes and Antioch PD was left to secure a pole with crime scene tape after it was damaged in the incident. No word yet on when PG&E will arrive on scene, but if you notice, a piece of the pole is hanging in the air off a wire.

After the female victim was transported, the vehicle was able to back out off the curb. As it was attempting to drive away, the vehicle stopped working and police ordered it to be towed. A fence was also damaged in the incident.
