I think the ones who still support Trump wish they were him. They like him because he “tells it like it is”, but the only reason he can is because he has the money to do so. And he always has since he was fed a silver spoon since birth. The man will never be able to empathize with the lower or middle class, with veterans, with immigrants, with women, because he’s gotten over on such people to preserve his golden toilet. He can only empathize with the rich. As a retired teacher, I strive to have hope for our future generations but it’s been increasingly tough to have such an uneducated president, one who denies science and has no compassion in his heart. I wish we didn’t elect someone who embodies a rich villain like in a Looney Toons or Disney cartoon, but the ones who have failed to understand history I guess have repeated it once more.
“Telling it like it is” is your personality, not your finances.
Dr. Burke! To you, wealthy people are villains? You seem to really resent people who are achievers! Who worked long and hard to achieve wealth and be able to provide jobs for those who want them. Just because you didn’t have the ambition and drive to achieve, doesn’t mean others haven’t. So, you just badmouth them!
How is President Trump “uneducated?” Check his biography. How doesn’t he empathize with women? Like the rest of us, he empathizes with immigrants, LEGAL ONES! Immigrants who get into this country on MERIT!
I don’t want President Trump to empathize with anyone. I want voted for him to lead the nation and the first order of importance is to keep us safe from invaders! Actually, I want as little interference from government as possible.
Donald Trump was not born with a sterling silver spoon in his mouth. He came from a family of hard-working people with his dad working in the construction industry. We elected someone who could get things done and Trump has delivered nicely.
From what I learned in school and read on my own, didn’t President Harry Trump “tell it like it is?” I voted for President Trump and totally support him. He has accomplished more in two years than presidents who served for 8.
I don’t remember seeing an invite for an emergency town hall. Is that because I’m a registered Republican?
It has been in our calendar and we posted it a few days ago: https://eastcountytoday.net/congressman-desaulnier-to-host-emergency-town-hall-on-trump-shutdown/
Of course, this is why we recorded it.
I signed up for his electronic newsletter, but never saw it, most probably because I too am a registered REPUBLICAN or maybe it’s because I’ve had a few “words” with him personally.
Desaulnier is brainwashed by the left. Just the cost in medical and law enforcement savings to stop heroin from Mexico is wall worthy not to mention the thousands of lives lost. What about sex slaves made from children brought across? What about Murders by illegals? What about not knowing who comes into this country? What about the safety of the border patrol? What about the constitution? What about the wall was fine for Obama ? This entire situation is political and is really childish. Dems need to bargain an immigration reform for the wall money. It’s not rocket science, it’s a great opportunity for Dems to get immigration reform now.
Jg, do you go outside? Sounds like you’re afraid of your own shadow.
We need a physical barrier like a wall and also ground penetrating radar to keep invaders out. We also have plenty of laws on-the-books how to deal with unlawful entries, but for some reason these laws are not being enforced. We don’t need any new laws or reforms. Just enforce the laws we have!
Desaulnier is a sellout to the elitist. Pure crooked and cowardly politician. No backbone.

Hey Dr. Burke! How many times will you be posting the same thing?
