Van Flips on Neroly Road Monday Afternoon, No Injuries

by ECT

At 1:54 pm Monday, emergency crews responded to a vehicle that had gone off the side of a road and flipped on its side on Neroly Road in Oakley.  The accident left one woman and her dog trapped in her car as crews worked to free her.

Amazingly, the woman and her dog were not injured in the crash and did not require a medical transport. Aside from being shaken up by the incident, the woman walked away from the accident after East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and American Medical Response observed her for injuries. Oakley PD provided the woman and her dog a ride home.

The incident cause Neroly Road to be shut down for over an hour between Oakley Road and Saddle Drive as crews worked the incident.  Getting the vehicle up on its wheels was tricky given the location.
