Updated: Pittsburg Police say Antioch Man Was Shot and Killed Wednesday Night

The Pittsburg Police Department say Joseph West, 20 from Antioch, was shot and killed Wednesday night in the 300 block of Atlantic Avenue.

According to Lieutenant Patrick Wentz, officers responded to the area around 7:50 pm for a report of shots fired and that someone had been shot. Officers located West near the rear of a local business and was pronounced deceased by medical personnel.

In the 2:30 am update, Lt. Wentz says at this stage in the investigation, it is known that the victim and suspect are known to each other.

Investigators are still interviewing witnesses in an attempt to obtain more information about the suspect and updates will be provided when they are available.
