Updated: Man Airlifted to Local Hospital After Gunshot Wound to the Head in Antioch

At 9:45 pm Sunday, Antioch Police responded to a report of a male with a gunshot wound to the head at Vista Hills Ct off Terrace View Ave in the City of Antioch.

Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and AMR arrived on scene where they located the victim in the street. A medical helicopter was requested to transport the male victim (30’s) to a local hospital.

As of 11:45, Antioch Police were still investigating the incident where it was determined the victim had two wounds, however, it was possible the wounds were not from a gunshot. Police did not elaborate further.

INCIDENT: Assault w/ Deadly Weapon

On 1/28/18 at approximately 9:45 PM, APD officers were dispatched to the 3200 block of Terrace View Avenue where they located a 34 year-old male (from Pittsburg) in the roadway. The victim was found unconscious and suffering from a significant injury. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently listed in serious but stable condition. There will be no further information released regarding this case at this time.

Hell of police activity. Closed off the court by McDonald’s for the helicopter to land. Saw EMT’s/Paramedic’s working on him .. Scary……
