On July 5, at approximately 4:28 AM, Antioch police officers responded to the report of several gunshots being fired at the 4400 block of Delta Fair Boulevard.
When officers arrived they located two African American female victims, Milan Ardoin, 28, and Valinda Scott, 55, suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began administering first aid and called for fire department paramedics to respond. One victim was rushed to a local area hospital, and the other victim succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Currently, the area has been designated a crime scene and cordoned off at Delta Fair Bvld and School Street as well as Delta Fair Blvd. and Belle Drive.
This incident is currently under investigation and evidence is being collected. No other information was released.
This was Antioch’s second and third homicide of 2018.

In the early morning hours of July 5TH, Milan Ardoin and Valinda Scott were shot by an unknown suspect.
Milan Ardoin succumbed to her injuries at the scene and Valinda Scott was transported to a local area hospital. While undergoing life-saving measures, Valinda Scott also succumbed to her injuries.
The delay in the release of some of this information was due to the nature and circumstances surrounding the crime, and the integrity of the investigation. The case is currently being investigated by the Antioch Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
