Update: Pittsburg Police Arrest Second Suspect in Homicide Shooting

The Pittsburg Police Department announced Thursday the arrest of a second suspect in a triple shooting that left one person dead and two injured on December 14.

Police arrested Justin Singh, 19, was arrested just before 1:00PM Thursday, detectives located Singh in the 2100 block of Railroad Avenue.  Singh was arrested after a brief foot chase stated Pittsburg Police Captain Ron Raman.

Singh was identified early in this investigation as a person of interest in this triple shooting.  Singh is a known gang member who is on active probation for theft related charges.  At the time of this shooting, Singh was also wanted for violating the terms of his probation.  Detectives have been conducting surveillance in an effort to locate and arrest Singh.

Singh is the second suspect to be arrested in this case.  Based on the investigation so far; Singh and the juvenile that was arrested on Monday carried out these violent acts together.

On Monday, Pittsburg Police arrested a 17-year-old student at Pittsburg High School in class without incident. Their actions caused the loss of a life as well as two other shooting victims.

Singh will be transported to county jail for his involvement in our murder investigation.   This is an open and active case and more information will be released as it becomes available.

The Pittsburg Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday evening in the 200 Block of Auburn Drive.

Shortly after 10:00 pm Sunday, Pittsburg Police officers responded to a call regarding shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located three adult males suffering from gunshot wounds.   All three victims were transported to local hospitals.

According to Pittsburg Police Captain Ron Raman, one of the victims has died from his injuries and the other two are listed in stable condition.

Police say the victims were at the location for a social gathering at a nearby residence.  The victims were on the street in front of the location when they were confronted by at least one suspect (Suspect was not associated with the gathering).  The suspect fired several shots at the victims and fled the location prior to police arrival.  Investigators are conducting interviews with witnesses and working on active leads on this case.

Based on our investigation to this point, the victims were the intended targets of the shooting.  All three victims are Pittsburg residents.
