Here is a look at upcoming Christmas themed events and city events in East Contra Costa County which included City of Antioch, City of Brentwood, City of Oakley, City of Pittsburg and Town of Discovery Bay.

With it being small business Saturday, be sure to shop local!!!!!

Saturday, November 26

9:00 am: Brentwood Farmers Market
Come on down to downtown Brentwood and get fresh produce while stopping by local businesses for mimosas and shop local.

12:00 pm: 7th Annual Winter Wine Walk & Tasting Tour (SOLD OUT)
Wine Walk and Tasting Tour 2022- Organized by the Downtown Brentwood Coalition. Join us on our 7th Annual Winter Wine Walk in Downtown Brentwood.

12:00 pm: Annual Holiday Sip and Shop at Campos Family Vineyards
For the 7th year in a row, visit Campos Family Vineyards for its Holiday Sip and Shop with wine and plenty of vendors to find something for everyone.  — more info

5:00 pm: 40th Annual Brentwood Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting
In partnership with The City of Brentwood, the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce is excited to host the 40th Annual Holiday Parade. The parade will run between 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in downtown Brentwood.

6:00 pm: Antioch Speedway
The marathon season at Antioch Speedway comes to a close this Saturday night. Over 40 events have been held at the Contra Costa County Fairgrounds track this year. Originally, this was to be a two-race weekend, but it’s been condensed down to one. — full preview

7:00 pm:  Brentwood Christmas Tree Lighting
The Brentwood Christmas Tree Lighting will coincide with the Holiday parade and will take place imminently following. The parade begins at 5:00 pm.  More info.

8:00 pm: CoCo Wine Co Saturday Night November Music Series
Join the CoCo Wine Company in downtown Brentwood for live music after the holiday parade and christmas tree lighting. They will have a party mix from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.


Sunday, November 27

2:00 pm: Smiths Landing Sunday Sessions
Join Smiths Landing for Sunday Sessions with Michelle Lambert from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in downtown Antioch.

3:00 pm: The Big Jangle & Midnight Flyer at El Campanil
It’s TWO concerts in one! Join us for a rip-roaring afternoon of music featuring the Tom Petty tribute band “The Big Jangle” and the Eagles tribute band “Midnight Flyer”! The heart of 70s rock & roll beats hard with this unforgettable double-header–you don’t want to miss this one! —  more info + tickets

4:00 pm: Lite Up The Streets for Santa’s Arrival
Kick off the holiday season with us!  Join us at The Streets of Brentwood to Lite Up The Streets for Santa’s Arrival, a night of community entertainment, special guests, and tree lighting on Sunday, November 27, 4-7pm!


December 2

5:30 pm: Concord’s Annual Tree Lighting and Mayor’s Sing-Along
Concord’s Annual Tree Lighting and Mayor’s Sing-Along is back! The City will host this family- favorite event on Friday, Dec. 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Todos Santos Plaza.  Families can take pictures with Santa, and kids will have a chance to feed Santa’s reindeer! Children are also welcome to write and mail letters to Santa, which will all receive a response from the jolly good fellow. For those who want to create a festive decoration, the Concord Art Association will be hosting a free, make-your-own holiday craft booth. — more info

6:00 pm: Campos Community Christmas Tree Lighting
Join Campos Family Vineyards for its 7th Annual Community Christmas Tree Lighting! Doors will open at 6pm and we will be lighting the tree at 7pm. Pictures by Discovery Bay Studios, with and without Santa will be available for $5. The event will also feature food trucks with music by Steve Hanson & Friends back as our LIVE BAND playing all your favorite Christmas Songs!  — more info + tickets


December 3

2:00 pm Antioch Holiday Delites Celebration
Sip & Shop Craft Fair 2pm – 6pm with Great Local Wines & Beer, Live Music and over 30 Craft Vendors! Great way to knock out that Christmas Shopping List! At 4:30pm we have a lighted Christmas Parade, after the Parade is the Lighting of the City Christmas Tree and then….. Pictures with Santa!

 

4:00 pm: Oakley Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
The City of Oakley is hosting its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting on Saturday, December 3rd, starting at 4pm. Join us at Civic Center Plaza, 3231 Main Street as we kick off the holiday season with this family-friendly event. Admission and parking are FREE and the event will take place rain or shine.

Civic Center Plaza will be adorned with lights and Christmas decorations. There will be free cookies and cocoa, arts & crafts for the children, live entertainment and more. Santa Claus will also be making a special visit!

Entertainment for the night will include performances by local organizations. We will gather around the live Christmas tree near the Veteran’s Memorial to watch the lights turn on at approximately 6pm

6:00 pm: Discovery Bay Parade of Lights
For the 20th Anniversary Parade, we celebrate the three most popular parade themes of the past 20 years… Pirates vs Aliens vs Cowboys!


December 8

5:00 pm Pittsburg Tree Lighting Ceremony

Start the holiday season with us at the annual tree lighting ceremony at John Buckley Square on December 8, 2022 at 5:00 pm! Get in the holiday spirit with hot chocolate, kids face painting, and crafts.

The incoming Mayor, Shanelle Scales-Preston, will flip the switch announcing that the holiday season has officially begun in Pittsburg!


December 10

11:00 am: Pittsburg Holiday Parade
The Pittsburg Holiday Parade is BACK! Scheduled for Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 11:00 am in Old Town Pittsburg. The annual Holiday Parade will once again feature Peppermint Playland, a visit from Santa, and various dignitaries and elected officials from the City of Pittsburg and our local community.
