The Pittsburg Police Department is inviting you to come to Trick or Treat at the Pittsburg Police Department from 4:00PM to 6:30PM and get a Safety Tips bag with candy.
The men and women of the Pittsburg Police Department want to ensure Halloween is a safe and fun event for the entire family. Here are some safety tips to make sure your Halloween is enjoyable.
Trick or Treating:
- Plan your route ahead of time.
- Trick or treat in familiar and well lit neighborhoods.
- Carry a flashlight with new batteries after dark.
- Always trick or treat in groups with an adult.
- Stay on sidewalks and out of streets.
- Follow traffic signals and don’t jaywalk.
- Always watch for cars backing up or turning.
- Never accept rides from strangers.
For Motorists
- Drive slowly! Remain cautious and drive slowly through the community.
- Look for children walking or running on the street.
- Do not use a cell phone while driving.
- Enter and exit driveways and alleys carefully.
- Do not Drink and Drive!
Officers will be patrolling all neighborhoods, report all suspicious activity to the Pittsburg Police Department (925) 646-2441.
