Tonight: Antioch Saturday Summer Concerts Set to Begin

by ECT

Summer Concert

For the 10th year, the Arts & Cultural Foundation of Antioch is proud to present the Free Antioch Saturday Summer Concert Series in downtown Antioch. Concerts will be held in Waldie Plaza, located at 2nd & I Streets, from 6 – 8 PM every Saturday in July and August. The downtown, river view location brings back visions of old fashioned events for audiences of all ages. During the concerts the trains passing through town add to the crowd’s enjoyment Concert goers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, etc., as there is no seating in the plaza.

The concert’s major funder is the Lesher Foundation, along with support from the City of Antioch, East County Times, Republic Services, NRG, Clay Millias & Co, LLP and the Antioch Chamber of Commerce. Without these generous sponsors, the summer concert series could not be possible.

Bands scheduled for the 2014 series are all local, have played at prior summer concerts and are proven crowd favorites. The line-up is:
