Frazier Scam Stopper

Contra Costa County Seniors are the fastest growing segment of California’s population and are often a target for manipulative scam artists. With fraudulent scams on the rise in California, Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) and the Contractors State License Board will host a Senior Scam StopperSM seminar in the 11th Assembly District today in Antioch.

The seminar is a free and easy way to educate seniors about scams involving finances, internet and telephone solicitations, insurance, home repair and improvements, landscaping, and automotive repair. During each seminar, a panel of representatives from various government agencies will discuss some of the methods these scam artists utilize and how to avoid falling victim to scams.
