Celebrate Mother’s Day with a cool underground journey at Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve! Explore historic Hazel-Atlas silica sand mine on a free self-guided tour.
Must be 7+ years of age to tour the mine. Activities for younger children will be available outside the mine. People of all ages and dogs are welcome to visit the (underground) Greathouse Visitor Center.

Directions: Drive to the south end of Somersville Rd in Antioch (http://goo.gl/maps/jPYOx) and walk 15 minutes from there to the Hazel Atlas Portal where the event takes place. A shuttle will be available to bring visitors with mobility limitations to the event from the parking lot.
