The Association of CA School Administrators Backs Torlakson in Race for AD-14

Concord, CA—Today, the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) announces endorsement of Ambrose Recreation and Parks Board Member Mae Cendaña Torlakson for State Assembly in District 14. ACSA is the largest organization of school leaders in the United States and represents over 17,000 educators.

In a letter to the campaign announcing the endorsement, ACSA Director of Political Affairs and Strategy Adonai Mack wrote:

“ACSA’s Political Action Committee Board of Directors has voted to officially endorse you in your election race for Assembly District 14. Congratulations on receiving the endorsement of school leaders in your area. We wish you the best of luck as your campaign moves forward and applaud your willingness to serve the public in this manner.”

After hearing of the endorsement, Ambrose Recreation and Parks Board Member Mae Cendaña Torlakson released the following statement:

“I am very proud to have earned the support of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). They are the leading organization for school leaders in the country, and I look forward to working with ACSA to create meaningful education policies and reforms in the State Assembly. I will work to ensure that our schools are able to offer early education programs, hire great teachers, and create the best learning environment for all of our kids because a quality education is the key to achieving the California Dream.”
