Tall Ship Lady Washington to Sail Into Antioch City Marina on October 18

Antioch, Calif. – Following on the heels of tall ship Hawaiian Chieftain’s visit to Antioch this week, the brig Lady Washington has scheduled a stop at the city’s public marina October 18 to November 1.

The 112-foot, two-masted vessel will offer its new Voyage of Explorers Sail 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 26. The $35 per person experience is based on the popular three-hour educational program offered to 4th-7th graders in the Antioch area.

In addition, the ship is offering walk-on tours, more public excursions, and educational programs for booking by schools. Here’s her public schedule.

Adventure Sail: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. ($47/$39)

Walk-on tours are self-guided experiences, which include a chance to visit with the ship’s crew. No reservations are required. A $5 donation per person is requested. Adventure Sails and the Halloween Sail are two-hour family-oriented experiences with opportunities for guests to help raise a sail, learn a sea shanty, and take the helm of a real tall ship, conditions permitting.
