Sunday: Brownstone Gardens and Santa Team Up for Open House Photoshoot

by ECT

Brownstone Gardens and Santa Claus Albert, two of our site sponsors, are hooking up this weekend to provide a wonderful community service opportunity for folks to take not only take your fall photographs at Oakley’s  most exotic location, but you can also knock your Christmas photographs off your to do list on Sunday November 3.

Brownstone Gardens is opening up its facility beginning at 2:00 pm and families will have a five-hour window to visit the grounds and take the perfect fall photographs.  Be sure to bring your own photographer for this event.

Santa Claus Albert will be at the Brownstone Gardens in support of Loved Twice, a non-profit organization clothing newborns in need with quality reused baby clothing for the first year of life.

With Brownstone Gardens offering the backdrop, Santa’s elves will be on hand to provide digital image keepsakes for $7, of which $5 will be donated to the Loved Twice charity. For a $5 donation, parents can use their own camera or photographer and capture images for Holiday photos. A Loved Twice representative will also be attending to collect gently used 0-12 month-old infant clothes. Parents that have infant clothing stored at home should bring new and gently used infant clothing to this event and take a photo with Santa Albert.

By donating new and gently used infant clothing, Albert says parents will help and receive all at once.

“They will help to provide clothing to infants that are in need, and also receive a $2 discount on photos with Santa Albert,” says Albert, who appeals to parents to go search for and take what infant clothing they can find and take them down to Brownstone Gardens on November 3.  All who makes a donation will be noted on Santa Albert’s GOOD LIST for doing good deeds.

ABOUT SANTA CLAUS ALBERT:
Santa Claus Albert has been entertaining people since the first time he was on stage in 7th grade, he knew this was something he wanted to pursue. Having performed in many plays and musicals, Santa Claus Albert discovered the “Secret of Santa” in 1985 while helping a friend with her photography business. Albert enjoys photography and thought he was going to substitute as a photographer, to his surprise when he arrived and was told to “costume up”. “Wait a minute, I thought I was gonna take pictures?” As he put on the suit and worked his first shift as Santa, he found out about the fantasy that Santa participates with. Listening to the stories and requests. Chatting with the kids about being naughty and nice. The amazing part of being in this role is the PURE LOVE from everyone, children and adults. It was then that he caught the Santa bug. So many stories of everyone sitting on his knee and sharing their time and life with him.

Each year, there are many more NEW stories added to Santa’s collection of memories, which keep him coming back year after year with something special and NEW to share with new and returning clients. Invite Santa Claus Albert to your celebration and find out what’s so special about his performance that makes clients keep coming back year after year, some for as many as 15 years.

ABOUT LOVED TWICE:
Loved Twice started in 2005 when Lisa Klein, Founder and Executive Director, responded to an online community appeal from Louisiana for donations of baby clothing after Hurricane Katrina. Having just had her first child, Lisa was deeply moved to contribute. She rallied other San Francisco Bay Area mothers and collected 200 pounds of babywear in 4 days. Mailing the onesies, swaddling blankets, and other donated newborn clothes off, she realized that the simple process of recycling gently used babywear to provide for infants in need could be applied to her home state of California. Lisa turned her compassion into passion and started Loved Twice to help underprivileged newborns in her own community, giving disadvantaged babies a better start in life.
