Stolen Vehicle Suspect Rams Concord Police K9 Patrol Car

A Concord Police Officer and Police K9 were not injured in a stolen vehicle crash Monday night.

According to Concord Police, just before midnight a car was reported stolen from 1500 Monument Bl. Within minutes of the report, a K9 officer located the car and followed the vehicle as it drove in the area of Waltham Rd and Belmont Rd, where it crashed into a parked car.

The suspect then drove the car backwards and rammed the patrol car, damaging it moderately. The suspect exited the stolen car and fled on foot.

After a lengthy search with the K9 unit, the suspect surrendered and was arrested.

The suspect is 21 year old Jesse Adame out of Pleasant Hill, and he was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

The Concord Police Officer and Police K9 were not injuried in the incident according to Concord Police.
