The Solano County Sheriffs Office last week announced the arrest of Christopher Rouse, 21 of Antioch, for attempted murder after he stabbed another 21-year-old man a day earlier.

According to the Sheriffs Office, the arrest according around 7:00 pm on October 26.

At approximately 1pm, Rouse entered a downstairs apartment on 1700 block of Lemon Street in Vallejo in an attempt to make another 21-year-old leave the property. The two men began arguing over a family dispute and a civil disagreement involving landlord/tenant issues.

The two men began fighting and during the altercation, Rouse removed a box cutter (razor blade) knife from his pocket and cut the victim twice, once across his back and once across his chest.

The victim ran from the apartment and shortly after was contacted by law enforcement and medical personnel. He was immediately transported to a local hospital and treated for his major injuries.

Rouse initially fled from the scene prior to police arrival, but after several hours he was contacted, questioned and ultimately arrested for attempted murder.
