Sheriff’s Office: Two Arrested Following Pursuit

by ECT

On Wednesday at about 11:18 PM, a Contra Costa County Deputy Sheriff attempted to stop a grey colored Audi for traffic violations in Bay Point in the area of Madison Avenue and South Street. The driver did not yield and led the Deputy on a pursuit that went into Antioch.

Deputies, with the help of a CHP helicopter, were able to apprehend the two suspects after a short foot pursuit. It was later determined the fleeing vehicle was reported stolen from Pittsburg.

Deputies arrested 23-year-old Alberto Larios-Velasco of Brentwood. He is currently being held at the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF) on charges that include possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evasion, and possession of stolen property. He is being held in lieu of $240,000 bail.

Also being held at MDF is 23-year-old Martitsa Guerrero of Bay Point. She was booked on drug charges, possession of burglary tools, and probation violation. She is being held without bail.

Great job by CoCo County Deputies. You can run, but you can’t hide punks.
