On Thursday at about 9:16 PM, Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a report of an injured person on the ground in the area of Driftwood Drive and Port Chicago Highway in Bay Point.
Deputies found the victim unresponsive and began CPR. He was later pronounced deceased by the Fire Department.
The male victim is not being identified at this time.
During a preliminary investigation, the victim appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.
The investigation in this case is ongoing.
