Register online by midnight September 17th at www.shepherdsgate.org/5k. Registration is $25 per person and $75 per family.  Participants can also elect to fundraise in support of the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate. All participants receive a race T-shirt and bag and are invited to enjoy pancakes served by Brentwood Rotary and coffee provided by Peet’s Coffee after the race. Tours of the Shepherd’s Gate Brentwood campus will also be available. Awards will be presented to the top male and female winners by age categories.

Thank you to this year’s Rescuers Sponsor, the Law Offices of Silky Sahan for supporting Shepherd’s Gate a local nonprofit transforming lives and effectively stopping destructive cycles through counseling, housing, case management, childcare and more for women and their children fleeing domestic violence and homelessness in the local community.

About Shepherd’s Gate

Shepherd’s Gate first opened its doors in 1984 as a small home on Portola Avenue in Livermore. It has since expanded to two campuses, in Livermore and Brentwood, providing rehabilitative care to women fleeing abuse and homelessness. Shepherd’s Gate is not a shelter; it is a proven solution that effectively breaks the cycle of poverty, addiction, domestic violence and homelessness. Since its inception, over 11,000 women and children have benefited from the care Shepherd’s Gate provides and 89% of program graduates do not return to the life that they left behind.
