Sept. 3 – 9: Antioch Police Briefs

According to City Manager Steve Duran, the Antioch Police Department had 1,581 calls for service netting 78 arrests between September 3-9.

Of those arrests, 37 were felony and 41 were misdemeanor. They also had 8 DUI arrests.

IMG_5444Absent from the City Manager Report were two homicides in three days.

The first incident occurred Sept. 6 where a 32-year-old man was shot and killed in the 1800 block of Cavallo Road.

The second homicide occurred Sept.  8 in the 400 block of San Joaquin Avenue which left a 32-year-old male dead.

 

POLICE DEPARTMENT UPDATES

• On 9/9/2015 at 11:21 pm, officers responded to the Executive Inn at 515 E.18th St. regarding a 911 caller reporting a naked man on the roof of the hotel. Several officers responded and located 45 year old Patrice Perkins inside the fenced in pool area with nothing but a bed sheet wrapped around his body. Perkins was sweating profusely. Medical was requested and staged due to Perkins possibly being under the influence of a controlled substance. After he was detained, medics examined Perkins and he was transported to a local hospital. Officers located a small package of methamphetamine in his right ear canal. A blood draw was conducted and Perkins was released from custody pending lab results.

• On 9/9/2015 at 11:01 am, officers responded to the report of an assault at the CVS store located at 2511 Somersville Road. The investigation revealed that 41 year old Marlon Brown and a 35 year old woman were in an argument. During the argument Pitre struck the victim in the head with the handle of a knife and then fled on foot. Pitre was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident. The victim had a minor laceration and swelling on her head. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Pitre was booked at the county jail on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

• On 9/9/2015 at 8:23 am, an officer observed a stolen car traveling on Hillcrest Avenue near E. 18th Street. Upon seeing the officer, the driver fled and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle was involved in a minor collision with city property at the dead end of E. 13th Street and both occupants fled from the car. Rene Orozco, 27 years old, was a passenger and was apprehended almost immediately. The driver, 31 year old Randy Belmont, was located at 85 S. Lake Drive and was arrested. Both subjects are on probation and were booked at the county jail.

• On 9/8/2015 at 7:21 pm, Brentwood police pursued 31 year old Ricky Redd into Antioch. Redd fled on foot and BPD requested assistance. BPD advised the want was for felony evading and grand theft. An Antioch PD Canine Officer responded and conducted a search for Redd with his canine. The canine alerted on the back yard of 4504 Golden Bear Drive. Redd refused to obey officers admonishment to surrender and that a canine would be used if he did not comply. The canine located Redd hiding under a deck and apprehended him. Redd sustained several puncture wounds to his right thigh and calf area. He was arrested and turned over to Brentwood PD.

• On 9/8/2015 at 5:27 pm, an officer attempted to stop a motorcycle for having expired registration tags on Hillcrest Ave. near E.13th St. The driver, 54 year old Donald Anderson, fled and a very short pursuit ensued during which he drove on the wrong side of the road pulling into the driveway of 1316 Hillcrest Ave. Anderson then attempted to flee on foot and hide behind a trailer. He was taken into custody without incident and later booked at the county jail for fleeing from a police vehicle, driving on a suspended license, resisting arrest and violation of probation.

• On 9/8/2015 at 12:32 am, officers responded to the report of an accident on Vista Grande Dr at Benttree Way. when they arrived, their investigation revealed that 22 year old Jeffrey Faughnan was driving northbound on Vista Grande Dr when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the curb at Benttree Way. The vehicle hit a city sign, rolled over and ended up upside down on the shoulder of the roadway. Faughnan was not seriously hurt. He was contacted and exhibited symptoms of being intoxicated. Faughnan is currently on court probation for DUI. He was arrested for DUI and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Faughnan was later released pending the lab results of his blood test.

• On 9/7/2015 at 4:19 pm, officers responded to 2212 “L” St. regarding a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, officers contacted 25 year old Nijm Pulliam. It was determined she had two outstanding arrest warrants from Redwood City charging theft and possession of stolen property. She was arrested and later booked at the county jail.

• On 9/7/2015 at 4:18 pm, officers were dispatched to 516 W. Tregallas Road regarding a fight between 21 year old Adrien Morales and a female. Upon arrival, officers saw Morales fleeing the scene in a vehicle and officers initiated a stop on the car. The female was uncooperative and left the area. Officers contacted Morales and located methamphetamine inside his vehicle. Morales was taken into custody without incident, booked at Antioch PD and later released on a promise to appear.

• On 9/6/2015 at 5:09 pm, an officer was patrolling the area of E. Madill St. when he noticed 22 year old Martin Revuelta attempting to hide behind a parked car. The officer knew Revuelta had an outstanding arrest warrant for vehicle theft. Revuelta was contacted and arrested without incident. He was later booked at the county jail.

• On 9/6/2015 at 4:20 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 1800 “A” St. Upon contacting the driver, 30 year old Shabrya Wallace, a records check revealed she had four outstanding arrest warrants charging accessory, possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was arrested without incident and later booked at the county jail.

• On 9/6/2015 at 4:14 pm, an officer saw 26 year old Shane Stange walking along E.18thSt. near Evergreen Ave. The officer was aware Stange had an outstanding arrest warrant charging petty theft. Stange was arrested and later booked at the county jail.

• On 9/6/2015 at 1:07 pm, officers responded to a disturbance at 2201 San Jose Dr. Mario Gilmore, 29 years old, was contacted at the location. A records check revealed he had an outstanding arrest warrant for petty theft. He was arrested without incident and later booked at the county jail.

• On 9/6/2015 at 12:39 pm, officers responded to Denny’s at 2006 Somersville Rd. regarding a subject attempting to leave without paying for her meal. Dawanna Hall, 34 years old, was detained by employees in the parking lot until police arrived. A records check revealed she had two outstanding arrest warrants for theft and possession of a controlled substance. Officers found she had two purses full of merchandise with security and price tags on them. Hall was arrested for her warrants and the defrauding at Denny’s. Officers conducted follow up at Somersville Town Center and determined the items in Hall’s purse were stolen. She was booked at the county jail on the warrants and other charges.

• On 9/6/2015 at 2:22 am, officers responded to a single vehicle accident at Fitzuren Rd and Contra Loma Blvd. Upon their arrival, officers found a vehicle had collided with a concrete wall on the east side of the Union 76 gas station. Officers contacted the driver, 22 year old Dawna McWethy. She explained to officers she was driving her Honda Civic eastbound on Buchanan Rd. at Contra Loma Blvd. As she drove through the intersection she fell asleep and continued traveling straight into the parking lot and collided into the concrete wall. McWethy exhibited symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She provided a PAS sample at the scene which indicated her blood alcohol level was .145%. McWethy was arrested and booked at the county jail.

• On 9/5/2015 at 6:35 pm, an officer was patrolling the area of Hillcrest Ave. and Wildflower Dr. when he noticed a reported stolen U-Haul pick-up truck drive by. The officer turned around, but was unable to catch up to the U-Haul. He drove in the direction he last saw it and noticed a similar U-Haul pick up with a different license plate parked in the driveway of 628 Burwood Way. Although this was a different truck, a records check revealed it too was a reported stolen. There was also a UHaul van parked at this address that was also reported stolen. Officers contacted 34 year old Lisa St. Onge, 37 year old Roberto Vallencillo and 31 year old Christine Williams, who were all inside the house at the location. Roberto Vallencillo was determined to be on probation with a search clause. He had the keys to the stolen van in his pocket. A search of his bedroom uncovered a credit card manufacturing assembly line. There were several California ID cards with Roberto Vallencillo and Christine Williams’ photos on them with various names and addresses. All 3 were arrested and booked at the county jail on charges related to auto theft and forgery. The two U-Haul vehicles at the home were recovered and the original stolen U-Haul the officer saw was never located.

• On 9/4/2015 at 11:41 pm, officers were in the parking lot of Tailgaters sports bar at 4605 Golf Course Rd completing their investigation into the below listed auto burglaries. Michael Morris, 38 years old, walked to his newly purchased 2015 F150 and drove out of the parking lot. Morris pulled onto Lone Tree Way where he lost control of his vehicle, drove onto the center median and collided with a tree, sheering it at the base. Morris fled eastbound on Lone Tree Way in his moderately damaged pickup. Officers were able to catch up with Morris and conduct a traffic stop. Morris was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest. He later provided a breath test which indicated he had a blood alcohol content of .12. He was later released on a promise to appear for DUI and Hit & Run.

• On 9/4/2015 at 10:02 pm, officers responded to a Coronado Ct. regarding a naked male walking in the area. When officers arrived, they located 43 year old Luis Flores who was only wearing a shirt and socks. Flores was found to be a sex registrant who was out of compliance. He was arrested for the registration violation and indecent exposure and booked at the county jail.

• On 9/4/2015 at 10:01 pm, officers responded to Tailgators Sports Bar at 4605 Golf Course Rd. on a report of two vehicles being burglarized in the parking lot while the owners were inside the above establishment. Additionally, attempts had been made to force entry into a third vehicle. One of the victims had an ipad stolen, which he was able to track on his cell phone. The Ipad was tracked to the intersection of Belle Dr. and Chickie St., where officers contacted 22 year old Kelvaughn Wells and 18 year old Lamar Fontenot as they exited a vehicle. Both subjects were detained without incident. The ipad and various other property stolen were located in their vehicle. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail.

• On 9/3/2015 at 11:45 pm, 45 year old Michelle Robinson was driving at a high rate of speed on Mandarin Way and almost collided with an Antioch police sergeant’s patrol vehicle. The sergeant caught up to Robinson on “L” St. and a traffic stop was initiated in the Bonfare Market parking lot on W.10th St. Robinson exhibited symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She submitted to a PAS Test and the results returned as .355% BAC. Robinson was arrested for DUI. A passenger in her vehicle was identified as 19 year old Skiphula Lee who resides in Fairfield, Ca. Lee had an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Solano County for failing to appear on theft charges. Robinson and Lee were both booked at the county jail.
