Sen. Glazer Supports Dreamers, Calls on Congress to Protect Them

by ECT

SACRAMENTO – Sen. Steve Glazer, D-Orinda, released this statement in reaction to the Trump Administration’s decision to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) while giving the U.S. Congress six months to address the immigration status of Dreamers:

“The Trump administration’s decision to end DACA is heartless, plain and simple. Congress has six months to get this right and enact a law to protect Dreamers, who are here through no fault of their own, brought by their undocumented parents.

“These children have grown up here, gone to school, played on their Little League teams, gone to their proms, earned their first paychecks: basically, they’ve lived the American dream. To think we would abandon these young Americans and tear them from their roots and send them to a foreign country they don’t know is the height of cruelty that I cannot imagine.

“We will be there every step of the way to stand up for these young men and women who are as American as our sons and daughters.”

Steve Glazer, you show your true colors when you purposely substituted undocumented for ILLEGAL.

YOU DEMS ARE ALL ALIKE. So very transparent. You will all be replaced one at a time. Bet on it.

Many people have had to leave their “homeland” and wind up in another country. People are resilient.

The good state senator obviously DOES NOT support the laws of the United States. Time to get someone in who honors and supports our laws.

Dawn, the law does not always mean what is moral, rational, or ethical. That is why they are repealed and revised throughout history as society develops. It’s not set in stone.

Dmitri .. With automation and robotics on the horizon to do much of the work for us, we will need FEWER people to handle those jobs. Therefore, we do NOT need 800,000 illegal DACA people to take the jobs we AMERICANS should be taking. By Americans I mean people who lived here for many, many generations, had children and grandchildren and those are the people who we must think of FIRST. We elected Donald Trump because of his campaign promises to stop the onslaughter of illegals ad infinitum. By the way, Obama directed that more illegals be removed than Trump did, thus far.

Ditto of Fraser’s comment. But add that these politicians are buying votes not protecting the integrity or laws of the United States. They are sellouts for self serving. Pure scum swampers. Vote them out.
