Sandbags Are Available For Unincorporated Contra Costa Areas

Contra Costa County Sheriff

With showers this weekend, the Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is providing information on sandbags for the unincorporated areas. Residents must provide their own shovel and transportation. Sand and the bags are available at:

West County Detention Facility
5555 Giant Hwy, Richmond, CA. Sandbags are cached on site in a container at the sand cradle located on the south side of the facility public parking area.

Ambrose Park and Recreation Center
3105 Willow Pass Road, Bay Point. West side of the parking lot next to one of the trees approximately ¾ of the way back to  playing fields. Sandbags are cached in a container on site at the sand cradle.

County Fairgrounds
1201 West 10th Street, Antioch. East County. Enter off of 10th Street.

Byron Airport
500 Eagle Court, Byron. By the flag pole across from the main administration portable building. Sandbags are in the plastic bin.

Pacheco
Waterbird Way (across from the County gas pumps). Sandbags are cached in a container on site at the sand cradle.
