by ECT

On December 24, 2017, at about 4 PM, Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a shooting at a home on the 2900 block of Rollingwood Drive in unincorporated San Pablo.

When Deputies arrived, they found a shooting victim inside the residence. He was treated by paramedics and taken to a local hospital. The suspect, who was the brother of the victim, was later found nearby and taken into custody. He is identified as 41-year-old Nicolas Adjuder. He was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility (MDF) for assault with a deadly weapon. He bailed out the next day.

On Friday, January 5, 2018, the Office of the Sheriff received word that the victim was pronounced deceased while at the hospital. Deputies later arrested Adjuder at his home for murder. He was interviewed by detectives and booked into MDF. He is now being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

The victim is identified as 46-year-old Christopher Thomas. Both Thomas and Adjuder lived at the residence. Detectives say the two were arguing prior to Adjuder shooting Thomas.

That’s why I’ll never own a gun. I might use it. I have no opinion on gun ownership for others – I understand both sides. I have no desire to go to prison, especially over a stupid argument.

Better to have a gun and never need to use it than to need one to save your life and not have one.

You can own one. Even if I did own one I wouldn’t keep it loaded. So what good would it do me? NONE.
