San Jose Police Arrest Antioch Man in Connection to Fatal 2018 shooting

The San Jose Police Department announced the arrest of Uriel Cabrera, 31 of Antioch, in connection with a 2018 homicide.

Via San Jose Police:

San Jose, Calif. – On Sunday, May 6, 2018, at about 12:10 AM, San Jose police officers responded to a person shot in the area of Story Road and Jackson Avenue in San Jose.  Arriving officers located victim Rufino Benitez, 25, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Follow up investigation by homicide detectives identified Uriel Cabrera as the person responsible for the murder of the victim.  On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, the suspect was arrested in Emeryville and booked into Santa Clara County Jail for murder.
