RV Fire at Repair Shop Prompts Two-Alarm Fire Response in Brentwood

At 1:04 pm Tuesday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a fire inside a garage of an RV parts and service business in the City of Brentwood.

The two alarm fire sent a large column of smoke from the 400 block of Beatrice Court off Elkins Way as crews arrived to a smoke filled garage and building with at least one vehicle that sustained fire damage.

Fire crews made entry to Road Runner RV Parts and Service where they located an RV on fire and began to make fire attack while checking for smoke and flames inside the building—a second alarm was called.

Ultimately, crews limited fire damage to the RV with smoke damage throughout the building.

According to Contra Costa County Fire, the fire was deemed accidental in nature after an RV was being worked on by the business for repairs. One patient was transported for smoke inhalation. Additional patients treated at scene by AMR.

The Brentwood Police Department was on scene providing traffic control.

Two Displaced in House Fire

At 9:47 am, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a living room on fire in the 700 block of Summerwood Drive in the City of Brentwood. It was reported that a fire place caught the living room on fire.

While responding, E92 reported smoke showing and upon arrival, had active fire and smoke coming from the home. By 10:00 am, the fire was knocked down.

CONFIRE stated no injuries were reported and two residents were displaced by the fire who were being aided by the Red Cross.
