The owners of Rivertown Treasure Chest in downtown Antioch are asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglary suspect early Sunday morning.
At 2:30 am, a male suspect threw a brick through the front door at 306 G Street and entered the business. He made his way to the front desk and in a matter of seconds took the cash box from the counter and left.
In the video, see below, it was less than 15-seconds and around $100 was stolen.
According to CrimeReports.com, there have been a total of 24 property crime incidents in the downtown area (1st Street to 10th Street) in the month of July and a total of 11 violent crimes.
If anyone recognizes the suspect, they are asked to report it to the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.

Why was the cash box even left in the store? You NEVER EVER do that! If you have no other choice, then take the cash box and bury it somewhere in the back room among things which make it hard to be visible.
The security camera should have been located in a position close enough to identify the thief’s face. There are things you can put in it which won’t be visible to a potential thief.
OMG crime in Antioch is really down! 24 property crimes and 11 violent crimes in JULY alone and this is only the 24th.
The black plague in Antioch continues.
Take the money to the bank or at least bring it home with you. Leaving money in a business is foolish and lazy.
What’s so pathetic is the police department and City Hall are both down the street. He didn’t even have to hide…he jus walked in..took their stuff and walked out. APD & The City of Antioch you have to do better than this….this is y no one wants to bring businesses to our city. How hard would it be for every car coming n going fr the Dept to ride through over there? It’s your back yard!! It’s really pathetic and the City should be embarrassed.
Typical. Antioch is the Armpit of California. Catch him, Try ’em and fry ’em!
