Richmond Police Recover Two Loaded Firearms From Four Juveniles

by ECT

The Richmond Police Department reported that officers turned another traffic stop into the recovery of two loaded guns from the hands of four juveniles.

RPD K-9 Officer Hodges was patrolling the city’s Iron Triangle when he noticed a car fail to stop for the stop sign at the intersection of W. Macdonald Ave. and Curry St. In fact, the car blew through the intersection at 30+ MPH. The officer made a U-turn after the car, but he noticed that the car had sped away.

While the officer tried to get closer, the car ran through several more intersections controlled by stop signs. Once he was close enough, the officer turned on the red and blues. The driver failed to stop and continued to flee. While he was behind the car, the officer saw the occupants throw out magazines from guns and at least one firearm.

After several minutes of pursuing the car, the driver decided to finally stop in the city’s Southern District. All four occupants of the car were detained. Assisting officers searched the pursuit route and recovered a couple of magazines and two loaded pistols, one of which was reported stolen. The suspects were all juveniles between 15 and 17 yrs. old, and they were all booked at Juvenile Hall.

If you see suspicious persons, cars or anyone in possession of a firearm illegally or any suspicious items, please report it and if you choose, you may remain anonymous. Call 911 if it is an emergency or (510) 233-1214.

Let those kids have guns! They need it more than these conservatives who need them for “protection”. These kids live through this crap they see shooting and people dying having a gun is their legitimate way of actually having some protection from getting jump/robbed on the regular.

Crazy!!! Jan 9, 2018 - 7:22 am

You’re an idiot! They dont rob and jump themselves They gather together as a group and then rob / jump the innocent person walking alone. This is why more people need to arm themselves and start taking back our streets. And if anbody here thinks a ” kid” pulling a gun on you is less dangerous then a adult doing it, youre only fooling yourselves.

First off you probably don’t know shit outside of your own little suburban world. Walk around Richmond and tell me you don’t need a gun idiot. While your probably relaxing in your nice warm house without a worry in the world, carrying a gun. you probably never been jumped/robbed at gunpoint, while me and many of my ‘hood’ friends have. So tell me who needs it more, them or you? This is our life, we go through this everyday, you probably type reports and never even seen any sort of action so please don’t speech especially when you don’t have knowledge of the topic.

the rest of civilized society doesnt have to pay for a city like Richmond’s situation. nothing but entitled children out there looking to make a quick buck or get gibs. we dont owe you anything thats the fundamental problem. entitled as hell. patch chip om shoulder and rise up. or blame ‘society’ and become a statistic.
