Richmond Police Officer Saves Victims During Attempted Murder

The Richmond Police Department reports that on Dec. 30 at approximately 4:07 am Officer Hodges responded to the 200 block of Marina Lakes Drive to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon and home invasion.

According to police, Hodges arrived when he saw a male assaulting two victims and a large amount of spilled blood in the area.

One of the subjects was screaming that the male had stabbed another victim. Officer Hodges engaged the suspect, allowing the victims to escape further harm.

A struggle ensued between the suspect and responding officers. The suspect was taken into custody without further injury to anyone.

The suspect, who was not identified by police, was charged with attempted murder, home invasion robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and criminal threats.
