Reminder: Applications for DOW CAPS Grant Closes September 18

by ECT

Pittsburg, CA — The Dow Chemical Company Community Advisory Panel (CAP) announces the open application period to its Grant Program. This year, Dow will fund a total of $25,000, which was limited to $15,000 only a few years ago.

In 2016, 8 winners were awarded grant money for their STEM related program.

Established in 2006, the annual competitive grant program funds sustainable community service projects in Eastern Contra Costa County with award ranging from $2,500 to $5,000.  The awarded money helps specific community needs and solves problems that might otherwise go unresolved without extra monetary support.  In addition to helping improve the environment for local residents, the Dow CAP evaluates grant requests to ensure they support hands-on science and math learning, contribute to the community’s success in the areas of educational opportunities or provide environmental protection to East Contra Costa habitats.

The Dow CAP Grant Program is an online application open until September 18, 2017.  Winners will be notified in October.

More information about the Dow Community Advisory Panel is available on the Dow web site at http://www.dow.com/pittsburg/community/cap/.

I wonder how much they donate to the generations of innocent civilian families destroyed by their products like agent orange and napalm… Gotta love the white collar crime and hypocrisy of “justice” in the US.

Billions in revenue, record profits, their own index on the stock market– can only donate $25,000 to grants for the community. What a joke. Who cares if your buddies and their sons have jobs there, they’re a disgraceful corporation.

Chronic complainer…..wah. Leave it to the resident Debbie Downer to try and turn a donation into a negative thing.
