Pleasanton Police Make Arrest in Stoneridge Mall Armed Robbery

The Pleasanton Police, in conjunction with partnering agencies, have identified primary suspects in the recent robbery cases at Stoneridge Mall.

These suspects have been taken into custody by The Oakland Police Department. Because these individuals are juveniles, identifying information about them will not be released at this time. The investigation into these robberies is still very active. We understand the community’s desire for answers and will provide them when we can release further information.

Pleasanton Police strives in keeping those who live, work and visit Pleasanton safe. Patrols of the Stoneridge Mall area have increased, and The Department will continue to find ways to partner with Simon Properties in maintaining the safety of Stoneridge Mall.

Those who enjoy the shopping in Pleasanton are encouraged to be vigilantly aware of their surroundings. Any suspicious activity should be reported to the police department.

Update – Armed Robbery (Case #16-6436/6487)

While conducting a tenacious and detailed follow-up investigation into the robberies at the Stoneridge Shopping Center, detectives identified the third and final suspect.

The suspect was taken into custody by the Oakland Police Department. This suspect is a juvenile and identifying information will not be released at this time. All three suspects (ages, 15, 16 & 17) have been interviewed and admitted to their involvement in both of the cases.

While the events of this past weekend are certainly unusual for Pleasanton and equally unusual for the Stoneridge Shopping Center, The Pleasanton Police Department remains committed to maintaining the safety of our community.
