Pleasant Hill Police Travel to Georgia to Arrest Two Homicide Suspects

by ECT

In April 2018, the Pleasant Hill Police Department began investigating the murder of Oshry Elor at his home on Norse Drive. The initial investigation quickly led to the identification and arrest of Keith Jones, of Cuessta, Georgia. Additional suspects were identified and detained, however there was insufficient evidence to charge those individuals at that time.

Pleasant Hill Police Detectives worked closely with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office and their investigators to generate new investigative leads and potential evidence.

Earlier this week, Pleasant Hill Police Detectives traveled to the Columbus, Georgia area and continued to investigate this homicide. Their investigation led to newly discovered information that resulted in the Contra Costa County Superior Court issuing homicide warrants for two additional suspects.

Pleasant Hill Police Detectives worked closely with the US Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Team based in Phenix City, Alabama and on June 21, 2018, Luther Lee (age 23) of Cusseta, GA and Terry Jones (age 23) also of Cusseta, GA were arrested in Chattahoochee County and Crisp County Georgia, respectively. Both were booked into local county jails and are awaiting extradition to California.

The Pleasant Hill Police Department greatly appreciates the assistance of the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, US Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Team, Phenix City Police (Alabama), Chattahoochee County Sheriff’s Office (Georgia) and Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (Georgia) in the apprehension of these two suspects.

If you’re stupid enough to sell drugs… there are consequences. Including murder.
