Pleasant Hill Police Identify Carjacking, Kidnapping Suspect

The Pleasant Hill Police Department is seeking Vincent Wilson in connection with a carjacking,  kidnapping, felony evading and fleeing the scene of traffic collision where some of the involved parties suffered injury.

Mr. Wilson is considered armed and dangerous.

Mr. Wilson is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. Mr. Wilson frequents the city of Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Concord and Walnut Creek.

On Monday, August 14th, at 7:19 AM the Martinez Police Department pursued a stolen vehicle into the city of Pleasant Hill. The Martinez Police Department ended the pursuit due to public safety concerns.

The stolen vehicle continued to drive through Pleasant Hill at a high rate of speed and collided with a vehicle in the intersection of Viking Drive and Contra Costa Blvd.

A mother and her two year old child were injured as a result of the collision. They were transported to a hospital by ambulance where they were treated for their injuries and subsequently released.

The suspect fled from the stolen vehicle and carjacked a nearby vehicle of a motorist stopped in traffic. The suspect subsequently drove the vehicle and victim to a neighborhood located in the city of Martinez.

The suspect eventually fled from the vehicle without harming the kidnap victim.

People have to learn evasive moves to help thwart carjackers.
