Did LMC stop offering the criminal justice program? The college has their own campus police, right?. The campus police ticketed me for not displaying my parking pass (lost the appeal too). The campus police watched my son’s bike get stolen from the locked bike rack provided by the campus (never recovered). I agree with Jill, the program seems weak. Perhaps transition campus to a prison like they have done to all Antioch school campuses with locked gates and fences backed by security cameras with on campus security walking the halls waiting for the next crime.

Delta Fair and Leland have become a breeding ground for homeless and crime. It is usually filled with trash that the poor residents who live on these streets have to pick up after these low lives. Then not just that have to fear for their lives anytime they go outside. Send more patrols on these streets from Railroad all way to Buchanan, its become horrible on Delta Fair and Leland!!!

Some people don’t have street smarts and will walk around with brand new clothes and electronics trying to impress strangers. Well, looks like they impressed the wrong stranger. Yes it’s unfortunate, but criminals will take a chance if it looks promising. He probably took the backpack because of the laptop in it, not because of the textbooks.
