Pittsburg Police Officers Rescue Man Who Fell into Delta Waters

On Tuesday at 11:30 am, Pittsburg Police and Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a report of a male who had fallen into the water at the Pittsburg Marina and unable to pull himself to safety.

Contra Costa County firefighters received information that two men had been near the water when one of the men fell into the marina waters. The victims friend was unable to pull him out and requested immediate help.

Pittsburg Police Officers arrived on scene quickly and were able to pull the man to safety prior to firefighters arriving on scene. A code three ambulance was requested for medical treatment as the man suffered severe hypothermia.

Pittsburg Police did say the victim was expected to make a full recovery.
