Just before 7:00 PM, Pittsburg Police Officers were dispatched to a shooting call in the 2100 block of Crestview Drive. Upon their arrival, two victims were located inside of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
The driver, 31 year old Pittsburg resident, was pronounced deceased on scene and the passenger, 25 year old Pittsburg resident, was transported to a local hospital. The passenger is expected to survive.
Based on the initial information, the suspect vehicle drove up the the victim vehicle as it was traveling northbound on Crestview Drive. One of the occupants from the suspect vehicle fired several shots into the victim vehicle killing the driver and wounding the front passenger. The victims appear to be the targets of this shooting. Actions leading up to this incident are being investigated.
