On Monday at 11:13pm at Pittsburg BART, a male victim reported that while in the parking lot he was hit over the head and his car was stolen.
The incident reportedly occurred in the southwest portion of the main lot at stall 550 where a Black male suspect approached from behind and struck him on the back of the head, possibly with a clenched fist, before taking the keys to his gray 2011 Toyota Tacoma truck.
The suspect was then joined by another male and a female, and together they drove away in the truck eastbound from the station; they were last seen heading towards Port Chicago Highway.
An officer responded and contacted the victim, who sustained a moderate head injury. Paramedics responded and eventually transported the victim to a local hospital as a precaution. Local police agencies were notified of the carjacking, but the truck was not readily located.
The victim further described the primary suspect as: Wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt; 5’-9” tall; 190 lbs.; and approximately 20 years of age. The victim and an independent witness were unable to provide descriptions of the second male and the female. The officer requested station video, and canvassed the nearby shopping center for potential video evidence.

Twisted thinking: He can afford a 2011 Toyota Tacoma, therefore, the man borrowed his truck knowing the man can easily replace the one he took at least until the truck is recovered.

Why should it matter what race either are…they can be purple..with poka dots…What should matter is that we are living in a time where NO ONE is safe..and We need to remember ALL LIVES MATTER. I grew up in Contra Costa County, and never had to worry about being alone when I am out of my home. Please people lets respect each other.
Well as much as we don’t want to”care” what race they are… It does matter as people of color claim they inhabit jail cells more than those of “white” status. But the truth is that blacks although they only are about 20% of the US population.., they commit most of the crime. At least in CCC.
As a basic passing Internet reader, knowing the race of a suspect only paints a better mental picture of the scene. Other than that, knowing the race is without practical use. Only to investigators/law enforcement does race actually matter since this is for basic identification. For all the ECT readers clawing the air in desperation to always know the race of each suspect, it’s obvious it’s only to satisfy some deep unconscious urge to feel a part of the collective “in” group.
You can almost hear the congratulatory back-slapping of all our white commentators each time an article states that the perpetrator was born with more melanin than themselves.
