The Pittsburg Police Department announced that on Sunday July 23, Larry Neal Jr, 19 of Antioch, turned himself in after being identified as a suspect in a homicide.
The homicide, the sixth of the year, occurred on July 19th at 3:00pm in front of the Baskin Robbins on Century Boulevard. During the investigation police detectives quickly identified Neal as the shooter.
According to Captain Albanese, Detectives obtained a warrant for Neal’s arrest and officers served a search warrant at his residence. At the time of the warrant service Neal was not at home.
Detectives were able to speak with Neal on the telephone; however, they were unable to determine his location. Neal refused to cooperate with detective and an extensive search to locate Neal was unsuccessful.
On Sunday July 23rd near midnight Pittsburg Detectives were informed Neal had turned himself in to the Martinez Detention Facility, where he was booked for the outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Captain S. Albanese said this is an active and fluid investigation and is expected to be reviewed by the District Attorney’s Office later this week.

Why was he armed and loaded at Century Plaza? How many cons with a loaded weapon do we pass every day in Antioch? Do we want to live like this?
Do anybody fight anymore everybody pulling guns cowards y can’t they get us Marshalls to clean up Antioch the police wants them to kill one or another.so they don’t want to clean up that dump I’ve never seen so much trash on roads in eastcounty take that back to we’re y’all from the town is that what yall call it.
