Pittsburg: Firefighters Respond to Homeless Encampment Fire

At 4:23 am Tuesday, Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a report of smoke and flames coming from the area of 2100 block of Railroad Ave in the City of Pittsburg.

There was report of a structure on fire after multiple callers reported a large “bang” sound.

Upon arrival, firefighters reported it was a fully involved homeless encampment on fire at Railroad near Bliss.

Truck 84 reported the fire was out by 4:37 am.
